A COMMITMENT TO CONSTRUCTION IS IN OUR BLOOD
Driven by a desire to provide a bespoke and affordable hoarding and fencing service that took the hard work off clients’ hands, Jeff Ray established JR Hoarding in 1973. Our work ethic and impressive finish quickly stood out from the competition, and we’ve been going from strength to strength ever since.
When Jeff’s children grew up with that same passion for excellence, JR Hoarding became a real family affair. Over the years, we’ve expanded our range of expert services to include site security, transportation, decoration, health and safety and timber supply. We’ve grown to become one of the most renowned names in the industry and count some of the biggest building companies as our clients. We hope that you will be next.
JR Hoarding Owner & Managing Director
The driving force behind JR Hoarding, Jeff set up the company in 1973, which back then, was called JR Garden Construction. While our name and range of services may have changed over the years, Jeff is testament to the fact our mission to go above and beyond for our clients has not.
As a hands-on Managing Director, Jeff takes pride in overseeing our Fencing and Hoarding operations. Whether he’s on site visits with clients, catching up with employees about projects, or out in the yard making sure everything is shipshape, his enthusiasm for excellence is infectious.
“Our aim at JR Hoarding is to make sure we continue to be the market leader in our sector in the construction industry,” says Jeff. “Our employees are crucial to this. We love what we do here, and it shines through in our work, be it on site or in our accounts departments. Our business is family run and our values proudly reflect this as we continue to expand.”
Alongside his work and his family, Jeff’s other passions include golf and regular visits Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea play.
JR Hoarding Director
He may have more than 20 years’ experience within the construction industry and be an expert in his field, but Simon is not one to rest on his laurels. As the head of our hoarding service, he’s always looking to further his knowledge and keep JR at the cutting edge of industry developments.
Known for his professional manner and attention to detail, Simon is never happier than when meeting with clients or visiting sites to make sure projects are progressing well.
“My aim is to work with companies who respect the fact we are not just a hoarding, fencing and site security contractor,” he says. “We’re a company that goes one step further and provides a complete service for any development project,” he says.
Outside of the office, you’ll find Simon spending time his wife and children, eating out with friends – or at the golf club, of course.

With qualifications including SSSTS, SMSTS, the IPAF operator’s cert, PAT testing, and Appointed Persons Lifting Operations training, Damian has the safest pair of hands around and his expertise is second to none.
